Healthy Community Wealthy Community

A Message from Lanesia Cephus, FNP

Hey there! I’m Lanesia Cephus, a Family Nurse Practitioner with a heart called to community health—and I want to personally welcome you to my YouTube channel, Healthy Community, Wealthy Community.

Let me be real with you—this work isn’t always easy. There have been tears, long nights, and tough moments, but through it all, my passion to serve underserved, underinsured, and often overlooked communities has only grown stronger. I do this because I care. I do this because you matter.

As a healthcare provider, educator, and advocate, it’s my joy to create a space where we talk about real issues, break down health barriers, and pour truth, love, and faith into every conversation. This is more than health education—it’s community transformation.

This channel is for you. Whether you’re managing a chronic condition, trying to lose weight, struggling with emotional health, or just looking for trusted answers—I’m here to walk with you. Together, we’ll learn, grow, and get better—one step at a time.

1. 🧠 Mental Healthy Monday

Every Monday, we dive into the conversations many people are afraid to have—mental health. We explore anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and more in a safe, faith-filled space. Let’s remove the stigma and normalize healing in our homes and communities.

2. 💪🏽 P.H.A.T. Tuesday (Powerful, Healthy, and Thriving)

Obesity and weight struggles are real—and so is your power to overcome them. On Tuesdays, we get honest about weight management, body image, and living a healthier lifestyle. No shame. No judgment. Just tools, encouragement, and transformation.

3.❤️‍🩹 Wellness Wednesday

So many people are silently struggling with chronic diseases. Whether it’s diabetes, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol—we’re here to help. We talk prevention, medication, and how to manage your health with confidence and compassion.

4.🌱 Forward Thinking Friday

Don’t wait until something’s wrong to go to the doctor. Every Friday, we focus on preventative care—including yearly check-ups, screenings, and vaccinations—because early action saves lives. Prevention really is better than cure!

5. 🔥 Safe Sex Saturday

Yes, we’re talking about it. Openly and respectfully. From STDs to safe sex education and building healthy relationships—we provide clear, culturally-sensitive information to keep our community educated, empowered, and protected.

"I AM" Healthy and Physically Fit!
